Thanks to the ingenuity—peppered by a good dose of humor—of the team at Knock Knock, a California-based creator of fun and functional real-life notepads, the virtual world may have just been treated an upgrade on civilization. The company gives you your own version of citizen social media cop: Social Media Citation, a 50-sheet actual notepad that resembles the citations issued by police officers to civil offenders.

SEOP likes the comprehensive list of ground rules adopted by the nifty gift item. There is something on it for the perennial poker who floods your notifications inbox, the crafty social gamer who pollutes your newsfeed with requests for virtual items, and the photo fanatic who tags unflattering images of other people. The guilt extends to "Cultural, political, and/or racial insensitivity and Excessive vulgarity."
The citations can be sent to friends in good fun, but it very well reminds everybody that though the social media etiquette may have remained unwritten yet, there are no excuses for online habits that go out of point and may even possibly spoil a good SMM campaign. As the handy notepad puts it,
“The same ground rules that apply to face-to-face interactions apply online, and committing the [infraction/s below is/are] just as uncouth or downright boring. Remember, when you post something to your wall—we can see it.”
